Cheesy Garlic Bacon Monkey Bread

Monkey bread made with rolled up biscuit balls of cheese and bacon.

Ingredients
  

Biscuit Balls
  • 2 cups buttermilk baking mix
  • 1 cup milk I used whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 pieces bacon
Finishing Touch
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • 1 Bundt Cake Pan
  • 1 Measuring Cup
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Frying Pan

Method
 

  1. Fry bacon until crispy, lay on paper towel to dry, break into small pieces. Reserve bacon grease.

  2. Combine the cheese and baking mix until combined.
    1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, 2 cups buttermilk baking mix
  3. Stir in milk using a wooden spoon until soft dough forms
    1 cup milk
  4. Add in crispy bacon
    6 pieces bacon
    biscuit dough, bacon, cheddar cheese
  5. Add a few tablespoons of baking mix into a bowl.
  6. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons into flour mix and roll to cover
  7. Layer dough balls in a bundt pan

  8. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Combine melted butter and garlic powder and apply the Finishing Touch using a brush
    1/4 cup butter, 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Notes

This recipe is best served and eaten immediately out of oven, well, as soon as your fingers can handle it!
